HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED…WHY THERE ARE SO MANY ANIMALS IN THE MUSEUM?

Snakes, roosters, horses… Is this a zoo? No – it’s a museum!

But what exactly is a museum? Is there perhaps even a little museum at home – on a shelf, in a box, or in your pocket?

In this child-friendly tour, everything revolves around collecting – and the animals that can be found in the museum. For example, the metal rooster that once sat high atop the church tower. But why was it specifically a rooster, and what was its purpose? And what’s the story behind the large bronze snake?

Along the way, children will discover what a museum actually does – and why collecting things can be so exciting. To conclude, there will be a crafting session: creating a favorite animal to take home – and perhaps the beginning of a very personal museum at home.
