The Children's and Youth Seminar at Salzstiegl will turn the Pentecost weekend from May 22 to 25, 2026, into a time full of music, movement, and community. Young musicians aged between ten and sixteen will gather at the Erlebnisgasthof Moasterhaus in Hirschegg, Styria, to sing, dance, and make music together. Beginners are just as welcome as those with a lot of experience. In small groups, with experienced instructors and a keen sense for every skill level, individual voices and instruments come together to create a vibrant community. Clarinet, violin, Styrian harmonica, dulcimer, guitar, harp, zither, double bass, and brass instruments showcase the colorful sounds of folk music. In between, what makes Salzstiegl so special awaits: mountain air, meadows, paths, and plenty of space for games, hikes, and good conversations. Thus, a seminar turns into a long weekend that cleverly combines music and nature. Costs & Registration: Children's/Youth price €120.00 (instead of €160.00); accommodation at GH Moasterhaus is booked by the organizer! €210.00 in a shared room including full board for the entire course weekend. +43 316 908635 or online. The grand final concert brings the work done to the stage and makes audible what has been created together. For families from Graz, the Graz experience region, and all over Austria, this is a fitting occasion to experience young folk music in a warm setting. Those who know the Moasterhaus understand: Here, the mix of Styrian hospitality, tranquility, and fresh mountain air is just right. This is what makes this course in Styria ideal for many young families.
