Jan van Weyde - Here we go!

Here we go again! Ladies and Gentlemen! Here we go again! Through the everyday madness of a working husband and father of two little girls - one in the classic tantrum phase, the other in the "wobbly tooth puberty." Every morning starts the same for him: getting up at 6:30 AM, brushing teeth, coloring unicorn pictures, dressing up as a Disney princess... but unfortunately only until the kids are awake. Because then the older one has to go to school and the younger one has her "Tinder dates," as she calls them... But to be honest, that’s a real relief after his involuntary career as a homeschool teacher and human climbing frame during the lockdown. And not to forget his furry firstborn - his mixed-breed dog Holly - who, with age, is turning more and more into a grumpy grandma, barking at passersby from the windowsill and, if she could, would ticket double-parkers.

Jan shares in his charmingly authentic way how he manages to keep all these balls in the air while juggling between work and family. Or maybe not... At parent-teacher meetings, he often feels like the troublemaker in the back row among all the "real adults," and on tour, he often finds himself in too-small single beds in David Lynch-style country hotels. But anyone who thinks there’s time for a breather in all of this is mistaken! After all, the most important questions in life are pressing: What do newborns dream of? What are female meerkats called? Can you smoke a tuba? And should he really "accept cookies" on his Weight Watchers app?
