Leo Bei, also known as Karl Horak, was a producer and legendary bassist for Dr. Kurt Ostbahn. With a high-profile band, the singer and multi-instrumentalist (also known from the EAV) will perform live some of the greatest hits of his long-time companion Kurt Ostbahn. Of course, the best stories from the time of "Ostbahn-Kurti & die Chefpartie" will also be included. There is probably no musician more qualified and authentic when it comes to the immortal hits of Willi Resetarits. Leo Bei – known as Karl Horak in the Ostbahn bands – not only played the bass but also produced some of the most legendary recordings that were still called records back in the day.

When Karl Horak today leads the band that bears his name onto the stage, it is not a wistful remembrance that takes center stage, but rather the celebration of the life’s work of Ostbahn-Kurti, or Kurt Ostbahn. Nevertheless, it is two hours full of nostalgia, as the playlist features many classics that have accompanied entire generations. It would likely be in Willi's spirit that his hits are still played live today – interpreted by one of his long-time companions.

The party can begin, as the setlist that Horak is now presenting again on stages across Austria leaves no dancing foot still: "Joker," "Arbeit," and "57 Chevy" are just a few of the rocking highlights. Sentimentality arises when it comes to the slower numbers, such as "Es gibt Strassn" or "Stadt aus Sta." Or when Leo Bei, alias Karl Horak, shares stories, anecdotes, and tales from his long years with Kurt Ostbahn. Following the overwhelming success and enthusiastic reactions from fans at a sold-out gig in Szene Wien, an encore is now on the way – with shows across the country.

It should also be noted that Leo Bei – alongside his recordings and performances with Kurt Ostbahn – played bass for the EAV for many decades. But that is another chapter in the success story of Horak, which dates back almost to the beginnings of the independent, local music scene.
