Open Cultural Salon

Regional Cultural Roundtable: Networking meeting for artists, cultural workers, organizers, and culture enthusiasts. No registration required, free entry, informal.

Dear artists, cultural workers, organizers, and culture enthusiasts, in Vorchdorf, we, a group of citizens and members of the Otelo cooperative, have launched the initiative "Kulturvilla" as part of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024. We are being supported by the municipality of Vorchdorf, which provides two rooms and a kitchen in the Jugendstil villa at Bahnhofstraße 13. The initiative "Kulturvilla Vorchdorf" is currently legally supported by the Otelo Association Vorchdorf.

We want to embrace the motto "Aufbruch Salzkammergut!" (New Beginnings Salzkammergut!) in the Kulturvilla, just like other cultural roundtable organizers, and carry the momentum from 2024 forward. We aim to better network within the Salzkammergut 2024 and the Almtal region and to further develop the contacts and ideas that have emerged. We want to give you space to get to know each other (better), create shared images, coordinate activities – this is how new projects can develop.

This cultural salon in May has no program – you are the program! Come in a relaxed mood; drinks will be available at almost cost price, and snacks can be brought by everyone. Share your stories with one another, your impressions of exhibitions, performances, shows... what topics move you and what you would like to organize together with others in the region or what you are already working on. Just as it unfolds.

If we like, we can also play music; if the weather permits, we can sit in the villa garden under the beautiful linden tree.

Cultural roundtables are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month: the venue is still open for the following dates:
September 24 / November 26.
