The concert I of the chamber music series brings two significant works of piano trio literature to Graz. On March 26, 2026, at 7:30 PM, two large-scale compositions by Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms will be performed in the chamber music hall. Both works impressively demonstrate the diverse sounds that can be created by the combination of piano, violin, and cello. Powerful passages alternate with quiet, contemplative moments, creating a musical dialogue that reaches great symphonic dimensions while also allowing space for delicate chamber music details.

The concert will begin with Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Trio in E-flat major, Op. 70 No. 2, a work full of contrasts and lively motifs. This will be followed by Johannes Brahms' Piano Trio in B major, Op. 8. It is one of the composer’s early compositions, combining youthful energy with a dense musical structure.
