Florian Krumpöck - Piano

A pianistic journey into the deeply snow-covered Russia of the late 19th and early 20th centuries: From Alexander Scriabin's piano poetry reminiscent of Chopin, which makes the entire piano sing with just five fingers of the left hand, this pianistic carriage ride leads through Rachmaninoff's overflowing second piano sonata, a showcase piece of the legendary piano virtuoso Vladimir Horowitz, to a key work of the Russian piano repertoire and the epitome of so-called program music: Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.

Florian Krumpöck, who recently presented the solo album "Chopin" released by Sony with solo evenings at the Vienna Musikverein, New York's Carnegie Hall, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Salle Cortot in Paris, as well as in Munich and Madrid, released a solo DVD from the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein and will release complete recordings of the piano sonatas by Beethoven and Schubert in the anniversary years of 2027 and 2028, returns to the roots of his repertoire, as the foundation of his career was laid through the support of the great Russian conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev with debuts in 1996 in Zurich and 1998 in Moscow with piano concertos by Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev.
