What is he so surprised about? Perhaps about such a tiny little thing as a balloon? To understand this, one must know that the clown is in a situation where every little detail becomes a big problem. He is supposed to perform in place of the absent director! For children!

Well, he gives it a try. But alas! No matter how hard he tries, the obstacles begin with everyday items and certainly don’t stop when things get unusual and complicated. If a walking stick already causes such difficulties, what can one expect from a magic wand?! Not to mention brooms, telephones, juggling balls, partitions, and so on. It’s all the more surprising when, in the end, a few things happen to work out by chance.

But nothing would work without the children. They instruct him, protest, correct him, and laugh at him, and they help him solve his problems. Thus, it all turns into a clown spectacle.
