The boy Mowgli grows up carefree in the jungle with the panther Bagheera and the wolf pack. On his adventurous journeys, he encounters not only Baloo the bear but also the python Kaa and the crazy monkey king. One day, the vengeful tiger Shere Khan returns - and is determined to get rid of Mowgli. However, Mowgli is sure: the tiger has a good heart! Will he be right?
