"If only the Papale could see this..."
The cult Christmas movie Single Bells is coming to the stage!

On the day before the Christmas holiday in Mauritius, Kati decides: “I want to get married... and: I want a child!” Her boyfriend isn’t on board, and she is annoyed because “that shouldn’t be a problem.” But he stands firm. Mauritius is off the table, and Kati quickly heads to her sister Luiserl’s place to spend Christmas in the countryside with her and her family. But there’s no sign of the longed-for tranquility...

“Where is he?” - Grandma can’t find the marjoram, yet she still manages Christmas on her own. “If only the Papale could see this…” she dreams and assures: “I’m not complaining, I’ve never complained!”

Luiserl escapes from Grandma’s “big, fat goose” into alcohol, and Lilibet treats herself to “two tiny little egg liqueurs.” Hansi, the “man of the house,” asks once more: “Are you decorating the stupid tree or not?” Torn between his wife, mother, and mother-in-law, he ultimately decides: “One humiliation follows another.”

Sissy panics and confesses: “Lilibet, the rat is gone!” and Gregor demands: “Carps have a right to live too!”

In the end, the Christmas tree is on fire, and the rat is sitting in the manger. Just the usual family Christmas madness, right?

They sing: “Don’t mess around, the Christ Child is coming!”
