Danube FESTIVAL WEEKS: LandART in the Mühlviertel Nature Park

A gem in the midst of the Mühlviertel Nature Park – a paradise for hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers. Imposing granite formations, green meadows, tranquil forests, and a vast view of the Danube Valley and the foothills of the Alps shape the landscape around the small village of Rechberg: As part of the donauFESTWOCHEN, contemporary visual art once again meets this idyllic setting, serving as a starting point for communication.

Since the beginning of his creative work, the tension between "human – nature" has been a central theme for the sculptor Willibald Katteneder from Rechberg. This time, a retrospective of his twenty already realized projects provides the framework for the new LandArt installation "Tanzeboum" – an ancient tradition finds a contemporary, slightly ironic reinterpretation!
