Obertraun Mountain Experience - Alm Festival at the Koppenwinkelalm

If you love a cozy and sociable afternoon filled with folk music entertainment, a visit to the Almfest at the Koppenwinklalm is just right for you!

Around midday, a yodeling and horn blowing event takes place at the Koppenwinklsee with the Obertrauner horn players.

Afterwards, the "Arikogler" – a young folk music group from the UNESCO World Heritage region – will perform. The local group Obertraun impresses with their Schuhplattler performances to folk dances from the Salzkammergut.

Of course, the Obertrauner Almfest also offers delicious regional specialties – such as Holzknechtnock’n, Schneeballn, Rauggerln, and more – to ensure your culinary well-being!

The Koppenwinkelalm is accessible on foot from the Koppenwinkel parking lot or from the Obertraun Koppenbrüllerhöhle train station in about 20 minutes!

Tip: Not far from the Koppenwinkelalm – just a few minutes' walk away – you can find a Kneipp path at Hagenbach as well as an idyllic trail to the source of the Bühlerbach. Both streams are fed by icy cold karst springs from the Dachstein massif!
