After her brother, it seems that her daughter is also homosexual. They seek advice from the village pastor. In long sessions, they try to understand Josefine's inner life and guide her back onto the right path. Meanwhile, Josefine reads with interest in the diary entries of her deceased uncle, in which the pastor is also mentioned. And as it turns out, the pastor has a backstory that connects him to Josefine, more precisely: to her vague memories of a man who is said to have hanged himself in the garden.
