In 1997, a tenor was sought to sing the theme song of the TV show "Herzblatt." However, instead of a single singer, three candidates impressed so much that a completely new formation was spontaneously created: THE YOUNG TENORS were born. What started as a surprise has developed into an impressive success story. For 28 years now, The Young Tenors have touched and inspired people with their music – an achievement that no one would have expected. Perhaps they would have even removed the word "young" from their name. "But we are and will remain young at heart," says Ilja Martin, the charming curly-haired one and already the "most senior" among the Young Tenors. Together with Carlos Sanchez and Matthias Eger, he forms not only a harmonious trio on stage but also shares a close friendship off the spotlight.
