Do you feel the same way? You open the newspaper, turn on the computer, crank up the television, or switch on the radio and, at that very moment, you despair as you are being convinced on all these channels that the end of the world is imminent? Environmental disasters, war, and terror wherever you look... And as if there weren't already enough horrors on our globe, here comes Christmas again every year! Purchase prompts at every corner (which we of course dutifully follow), the constant noise of consumption and mulled wine, the irritation of string lights and decorations for the overwhelmed eye, "mood!" & "reflection!" in hearts completely thrown out of sync by the "quietest time of the year," and - and this is perhaps the bitterest drop in the sickly sweet Christmas punch - the poor, mostly defenseless ear is mercilessly bombarded with acoustic phenomena that bring tears of emotion to one person's eyes while causing cold panic sweat to bead on another's forehead. Don't you just want to completely disconnect from the global Christmas machinery? To escape into the perfect world of the most beautiful hits from the 50s and 60s by Caterina, Vico, Connie, Peter, Udo, and of course Peter the Great? I sometimes feel that way, and that's why this special evening exists. Let's forget the worries of the world for a short while and surrender to our most longing dreams - so that we can face reality again refreshed and strengthened afterwards! If there's going to be kitsch, then let it be truly valuable! A kind of hit therapy. And this I promise you in advance: Politics, Florian Silbereisen, Helene Fischer, and Andreas Gabalier must stay outside! [Thomas Gansch] Thomas Gansch - Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Vocals Sebastian Fuchsberger - Vocals, Trombone Leonhard Paul - Trombone, Bass Trumpet, Vocals Michael Hornek - Piano, Vocals ________________________________________________________________________________ Press Reviews "Delightfully kitschy" Salzburger Nachrichten, July 13, 2019 Heinz Bayer ___ "Silliness at the highest level" "Thomas Gansch and Leonhard Paul, both founding members of the brass formation ‘Mnozil Brass,’ impress in harmony with virtuosity on their instruments and an impressive ability to imitate with their voices." "The hit therapy has worked!" Salzburger Nachrichten, May 3, 2019 Leonhard Hartinger
