Easter Market "Spring Awakening" at Weinberg Castle

The castle, adorned with spring decorations by the district farmers' wives, showcases more than 80 exhibitors of Easter crafts and regionally typical Easter customs. Live workshops allow visitors to experience traditional crafts such as willow weaving, artistic egg painting, sewing thread buttons, and lace-making. A colorful children's program shortens the wait for Easter. The magician Illusian will captivate children and parents with magical tricks, with performances every Saturday and Sunday at 11 AM and 2 PM in the knights' hall. Even the Easter Bunny himself hops by Schloss Weinberg and is available for photos with small gifts.

Culinary delights at the Easter market in the Mühlviertel leave nothing to be desired: the range of diverse delicacies includes fresh "baked mice with regional white poppy seeds" and oven-fresh Baumkuchen, as well as a spring menu at the castle restaurant, regional specialties from local producers, and delicious homemade pastries from the castle kitchen.

The free Easter Express transports visitors directly from the parking lot near the train station to the castle and back. Admission: €4.00/person. Discount for groups of 20 or more, students, and people with disabilities: €3.50/person. (Groups are kindly asked to pay together at the cash register to apply the group rate.) Free admission for all children under 15 registered on the OÖ Family Card. Note: We ask for your understanding that animals are not permitted on the entire castle grounds.
