Culinary Hike to Alpe Elsa

Experience a piece of Bregenzerwald tradition – during the guided hike to Alpe Elsa, dairymaid Maria provides insight into the art of cheese making. Right on site, she demonstrates how a flavorful wheel of mountain cheese is made from fresh hay milk.

The hike to Alpe Elsa is easy and takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Whether visiting the cheese kitchen or enjoying a small cheese tasting, pleasure is not overlooked here.

Afterwards, there is plenty of time for an extended hiking day. Hiking guide Klaudia knows many other worthwhile routes in the area – she is happy to provide advice on site.

Info: When the first hike can take place depends on when Alpe Elsa opens. This is usually around mid-June. The last hike is also determined by this and typically takes place at the end of August or beginning of September.
