New Year's Eve Gala - Opera in the Mountain Festival

The New Year's Eve Gala offers a fireworks display of melodies, arias, ensembles, and hits! Popular tunes, earworms, and favorite pieces from the world of opera and great voices. Famous operatic hits by Verdi and Puccini, such as "La donna è mobile" or the Star Aria, are just as essential as a powerful and robustly sung Brindisi from "La Traviata." Great voices and a fantastic atmosphere will set the tone for the New Year... Since 2008, the Oper im Berg Festival has been under the patronage of world star Grace Bumbry and in homage to Luciano Pavarotti, featuring outstanding voices engaged from the annual Grandi Voci competition, as well as classical direction and wonderful opera productions that are rarely encountered today. For several years, the festival has taken place in the Great Hall, Salzburg's oldest opera theater (400 years), where Mozart premiered his first opera!
