#WEARE Strong Voices. Strong Women

The Schick Sisters are using International Women's Day as an opportunity to invite Austrian female musicians to the OPER GRAZ on Monday, March 9, 2026, to celebrate a great sense of togetherness and to give visibility to the diversity of the female cultural scene. Many wonderful Austrian female acts, including music legend Maria Bill, newcomer Anna-Sophie, music cabaret artists Kernölamazonen, multicultural choir Sosamma, songwriter Virginia Ernst, as well as the hosts Schick Sisters, will create an unforgettable evening that highlights the music of women in Austria. The OPUS band, creators of the world hit 'Live is Life', will provide musical support for the ladies. The event will be charmingly moderated by Sigrid Hroch, program director and cultural voice of ORF Steiermark. "There are so many wonderful female musicians, female-inspired projects, and bands in Austria. Yet the stages are still dominated by male colleagues. This needs to reach the public's awareness to create change. Only together can we move forward!" (Katharina Schick, singer/songwriter).
