Since their founding in 1990 in Chicago, Tortoise have been considered pioneers of post-rock. With their unique mix of rock, jazz, dub, electronica, and minimal music, they have significantly shaped the genre. After nearly a decade-long hiatus, the band returned in 2025 with the single "Oganesson" and a remix EP. The accompanying new album will be released in the fall of 2025 by International Anthem and Nonesuch Records. With their European tour in 2026, Tortoise are now opening a new chapter – bringing their timeless classics as well as brand new pieces to Graz. A must-see for anyone who wants to experience innovative and powerful live music.
