Traunkirchen Murder Story 2026

On Carnival Sunday, it's that time again: The Traunkirchen Murder Story will parade through Traunkirchen starting at 2 PM, presenting the best stories of Traunkirchen in song form.
"This year, many funny mishaps have occurred again. We have packaged these in our tried-and-true way in song form and will sing about our 'specialists' on Carnival Sunday," says President Josef Harringer of the Murder Story.
Some time ago, the Traunkirchen Murder Story was added to the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. It has been around for over a hundred years and delights the local residents of Traunkirchen with its songs every year. This year, the Traunkirchen Murder Story will be presented at six locations:
2:00 PM, Poststube 1327
3:00 PM, Café Johannsberg
4:00 PM, Café Winkl
5:15 PM, Multi-Purpose Hall
6:30 PM, Klosterstube
7:30 PM, Gasthaus Gruber
