Rock in the Castle - Rock In Peace & The Black Heart of Austria - Open Air

In 2026, the Laaer Burg will shake - and for real! On Saturday, June 13, the large castle courtyard will transform for the first time into a rocking concert arena. With ROCK IN DER BURG, the municipality of Laa an der Thaya brings an open-air live atmosphere to the ancient walls like never before. Kicking off the event is the Laa band "Das schwarze Herz von Österreich," founded in 2013 by David Stawa. Joining him are his brother and FIRESTORM colleague Daniel Tallamassl (bass, vocals), Jürgen Schäfer (drums), Beate Stawa (guitar), and Bianca Kosch (guitar). They have released two albums featuring honest heavy rock with German dialect lyrics, full of energy and depth - and now they will perform live in their hometown, at the Laa castle!

After that, R.ock I.n P.eace - In Memoriam of the Superstars will take the stage. Six musicians, five extraordinary voices, pure passion. Here, the greatest legends from the 60s to the 90s will be brought back to life. From Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, David Bowie, Aretha Franklin, and Prince, to Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Joe Cocker, and FALCO - everything live, authentic, and without cheap imitation. Instead, expect genuine goosebumps, great voices, captivating guitar and saxophone solos - two hours of heartwarming music. So - save the date and be there!
