Some bands mature. Mando Diao, on the other hand, explode - once again. And they take us into a world that couldn't derail any more beautifully: In "Boblikov’s Magical World," the latest studio album from the Swedes, a cunning shadow man rules over a network of global henchmen - an allegory for the darker sides of humanity, wrapped in short, sharp-edged songs and a sound that takes us back to the garage. Dirty guitars, thundering drums, hardly any pauses - it all sounds like pure aggression and joy of playing.

But those who know Mando Diao understand: There is a method behind the chaos. Since their founding in 1999, the rockers from Borlänge have reinvented themselves countless times - sometimes in love with Britpop, sometimes flirting with electro, sometimes hymnically melancholic. Yet live, they remain a force of nature. Björn Dixgård's rough timbre, the unruly stage energy, the penchant for catchy hooks - all of this has long made them an international cult phenomenon.

After over 20 years of band history, gold awards, and classics like "Dance With Somebody" or "Gloria," Mando Diao today celebrates what they do best: uncompromising rock 'n' roll, unpredictable as ever.
