Every person processes their life differently: some go to church, others to yoga retreats - Nikita Miller has chosen the classic cycle: guilt, conscience, suffering, redemption… and in the end, not atonement, but the stage.
Guilt. It exists in every family. But while others feel a little guilty for ignoring Grandma's WhatsApp, Nikita has won the complete package. Thanks, Dad.
Conscience. That jerk that always rings when you want to sleep. Or at the therapist's, when you think: "Dude, I'm paying 120 euros an hour, and you're asking me about my childhood?"
Suffering. Yes, he buried his mother, hated his father, and somehow fought his way through life. Sounds sad? It is. But at some point, you have to decide: cry or laugh about it. And Nikita laughs - loudly.
Redemption. It doesn’t really exist. But a microphone, an audience, and honest laughter come damn close.
Atonement Stage. Nothing about forgiving and forgetting. Here, stories are told, unflinchingly, wickedly, liberatingly funny. Nikita Miller serves his life story not as a tragedy, but as comedy - and yes, you are allowed to laugh. Loudly.
Best regards, Nikita Miller
P.S.: The crossed-out "Atonement" is intentional.
When Nikita was expelled from high school in the 90s for being "too Russian" for Schiller, he had no idea that this very tornness between cultures would one day become his greatest treasure. Between German sandwiches and Russian pierogi, between the secondary school yard and the stories of his grandmother deported to Kazakhstan, he found his own way.
