Rock in the Castle

2026, the Laaer Castle will shake – and I mean really shake! On Saturday, June 13, the large castle courtyard will transform for the first time into a rocking concert arena. With ROCK IN DER BURG, the municipality of Laa an der Thaya brings open-air live atmosphere into the ancient walls, like it hasn't been experienced in a long time.

Kicking off the event is the Laa band "Das schwarze Herz von Österreich," founded in 2013 by David Stawa. Joining him are his brother and FIRESTORM colleague Daniel Tallamassl (bass, vocals), Jürgen Schäfer (drums), Beate Stawa (guitar), and Bianca Kosch (keyboard). With two released albums, they deliver honest heavy rock with German dialect lyrics, full of energy and depth – and now live in their hometown, at Laa Castle!

Next up is R.ock I.n P.eace – In Memoriam of the Superstars. Six musicians, five extraordinary voices, pure passion. Here, the greatest legends from the 60s to the 90s will be brought back to life. From Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, David Bowie, Aretha Franklin, and Prince, to Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Joe Cocker, and FALCO – all live, authentic, and without cheap imitation. Instead, expect genuine goosebumps, great voices, and captivating guitar and saxophone solos – two hours of music for the heart.
