After-work tour with house drink

In the public tour with curator Barbara Motter, the starting point is the building of the Dornbirn City Museum at Marktplatz 11. Six generations of the Lanter and Rhomberg families were born here, moved out, moved in, died, inherited and bequeathed the house, and finally sold it to the city of Dornbirn over 60 years ago.

The house was like a family member, with some residents having a closer relationship and others a more distant one – yet all were connected to their ancestral home. The over 220-year-old building holds many stories.

During the public tour, participants are also invited to encounter very current house stories from Dornbirn. Under the motto "Everyone has a house story!" everyone is invited to engage in dialogue.

At various stations of the tour, significant, beautiful, and less beautiful experiences related to owning, living in, and inheriting the house will be shared.
