In January 2026, the SALON ORCHESTRA of the ENSEMBLE NEUE STREICHER will perform its 24th series of New Year's concerts, this time under the title "Where the Lemons Bloom."
The program revolves around this famous waltz by Johann Strauss, which the composer wrote in 1874 during his trip to Italy, and features timeless melodies from the Strauss family such as: Roses from the South, Overture to "A Night in Venice," The Blue Danube... KATHARINA LINHARD will portray Adele, the innocent country girl, while GEORG ILLE will showcase his devil's violin to interpret the famous Czardas by Monti.
As in previous years, AZIS SADIKOVIC will also conduct this series of New Year's concerts in 2026, with BIBIANA NWOBILO charmingly guiding the audience through the program.
