On Christmas Eve, God's Son is annually welcomed by the crossbowmen at Lake Wolfgang. They aim to prepare the people for the coming of the Lord on Holy Night. The crossbowmen greet the child from Bethlehem, the incarnate Son of God, on Christmas Eve. Together with the angels, they proclaim peace on earth to all people of good will. Just as the heavenly messenger once brought joyful news to the shepherds in the field, the crossbowmen want to loudly call out into the land today: "To you is born the Savior!"
