Grossglockner Ultra Trail - Trail Running Weißsee Glacier World Trail

The power of the Grossglockner and the silence of the mountains.
Grossglockner ULTRA-TRAIL – the trail run on the "Glockner Circuit" with 110 km and 6,500 meters of elevation gain around Austria's highest mountain: It is Friday, just before 10 PM, in Kaprun, and our gazes turn towards the main Alpine ridge. The glaciers of the Kitzsteinhorn shimmer gently in the moonlight. Our unique adventure in the heart of the Austrian Alps is about to begin. Mostly on single trails, we cross the Alps twice, over clear mountain streams and alongside 14 glaciers through the beautiful high mountain landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The trails run through 3 federal states, 7 valleys, and 6 towns, passing 14 glaciers and 300 peaks over 3,000 meters all around.
