Simone Kopmajer & Band featuring Wolfgang Puschnig

Austria's jazz ambassador Simone Kopmajer received her training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Sheila Jordan and Mark Murphy. The "Styrian vocalist with the fine timbre and cool swing" – as she was aptly described in an Austrian music magazine – enjoys cult status in Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Simone Kopmajer has been nominated again for an AMADEUS AUSTRIAN MUSIC AWARD in 2025 and is currently touring with her latest program "HOPE" – named after her globally successful album of the same name, which reached number 1 in the Japan Jazz Charts.

The album "HOPE," nominated for an Austrian Amadeus Music Award in 2025, features new arrangements of well-known jazz classics (including "Pick Yourself Up" and "What a Difference a Day Makes"), original compositions (in collaboration with Karolin Tuerk and Paul Urbanek), as well as beautiful cover versions by Otis Redding and George Michael.

Kopmajer presents the program "HOPE" live in Austria – as she has successfully done in the past – with Paul Urbanek (piano), Karl Sayer (bass), Reinhardt Winkler (drums), and Wolfgang Puschnig on saxophone and flute.
