HOB I ROOM DELUXE – EPISODE 1

With HOB i RAUM Deluxe, a new concert series is launching, where for the first time a stage band forms the musical center! The main band consists of three outstanding musicians who captivate with their virtuosity, creativity, and joy of playing:

GERHARD ZEILINGER: DRUMS
NIKOLA ZARIĆ: ACCORDION
GEORG SCHMELZER-ZIRINGER: DOUBLE BASS

The special feature: Three times a year, the trio will perform at HOB i RAUM – and each time they will bring a special guest on stage. This creates a new, unique musical experience at every event! Together, they present their musical diversity and invite the audience on a journey through a variety of sound worlds.

At the first HOB i RAUM Deluxe evening, we can look forward to none other than Bertl Mayer. Bertl Mayer is an Austrian jazz musician who is considered one of the leading harmonica players in Europe, particularly on the chromatic harmonica. Bertl Mayer has performed with numerous renowned musicians and ensembles, including the Vienna Art Orchestra, Mark Murphy, Wolfgang Puschnig, and Karl Hodina, and has had long-term collaborations with guitarists Karl Ratzer and Alegre Correa. Stylistically, his repertoire ranges from jazz to Brazilian music to contemporary music. His virtuosity and expressive, lyrical playing make him an outstanding storyteller on the harmonica.
