This place breathes history! Since a castle was presumably built on this hill around 1180 during the reign of Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, numerous owners have lived in this location. Just like its various owners, the building itself has changed its functions and furnishings over time. The two fires also took their toll. However, from the outside, it has always been the castle that has shaped the landscape of Wolfurt for the past 800 years and has become a landmark for the surrounding area. During the tour, which lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes, the history of Schloss Wolfurt is narrated. Please note that Schloss Wolfurt, as a historical building, is not barrier-free. Due to the architectural conditions (e.g., steep tower stairs), sure-footedness and a basic level of physical fitness are prerequisites for participating in the tours. Not suitable for children under 8 years old.
