ANDYMAN tells cabaret-style and thought-provoking stories in song form; and in dialect. Musically unmistakable are the light-footed two-part harmony of the bright male voices and the transparent blend of double bass and acoustic guitar. In his instrumental interludes, ANDYMAN impresses with playful creativity and a wealth of improvisational ideas. For their stage program, the duo particularly appreciates the intimate atmosphere of small art and concert venues.

The two native Upper Austrians now live in Vienna and draw inspiration for their songs and lyrics from shared experiences and numerous conversations during their 20-year friendship.

Andreas Haidecker: studied jazz guitar at the Bruckner University in Linz with Peter O’Mara. He works as a musician in various formations and as an educator.

Andreas Kurz: works as a writer and director and spent several years as a university lecturer in Hungary, China, and Russia.
