Always a little too late, always a little too sharp, always a little off track… this is perhaps the best way to describe the now almost forgotten works of the equally overlooked secret hero of Austrian music history.
His songs “A Trottel kummt sötn allaa,” “Gestern, in der Fett’n,” or “I bin kurz schiff’n” truly deserve a place in the repertoire of every Austro-Pop cover band.
Fortunately, there is HOVACEK, Austria’s only tribute band, which has dedicated its second program exclusively to the legacy of “Hovacek.”
