After a challenging time in their lives, Serbian guitarist David Štrbac and Romanian violinist Ana Molnar-Popa form a friendship and develop a shared understanding of the world. This inspires them to create a music program that reflects the highs and lows of life and allows them to explore their common curiosity for world music: "Of Joys and Sorrows" was born.
Inspired by Pablo Casals' memoirs, the duo combines the longing found in Piazzolla's tangos and the vibrant collection of seven Spanish folk songs composed by Manuel de Falla with other traditional South American pieces.
