What inventions might Johann Sebastian Bach have had if he had had one too many glasses of wine at a Heuriger in Vienna? Did Bach perhaps compose "Heurigen music" anyway? Would Johann Schrammel secretly have liked to compose like his baroque colleague? To take the holy Bach with a Viennese twist? What would Bach have composed for a Schrammel harmonica?

All these questions are posed by the enterprising musicians Peter Hudler and Andreas Teufel, who answer them musically on the cello and the traditional Viennese button accordion, the Schrammel harmonica. The result is a quodlibet of scratched Bach and Bach-like Schrammel, featuring Bach preludes and Schrammel fugues, from old Viennese dance suites to satirical sacred pieces, even bringing H. C. Artmann and J. S. Bach together. There are many Bach crossovers – but only one SchrammelBach...
