The Trojan War embodies the archetype of senseless war and the fragility of human existence. No myth poses the questions: What do you do, human? Why war? Who are our gods? as vividly, disturbingly, and yet so familiarly. Literary and scientific star Jonas Grethlein ("My Year with Achilles") and director Jérôme Junod ("Penthesilea") will discuss their artistic and scholarly experiences with the phenomenon of Troy, as well as the enduring, fascinating relevance of the figures and stories.

The format of the salon, which undoubtedly has a theatrical element, aims for a dual event: the stage experience as a spark and the public salon as a ritual to further develop and let the experienced resonate.

With her renowned guests, theater maker Anna Luca Krassnigg explores variations of the monstrous and seeks answers to the eternal riddle of the dual nature of humanity: in ancient myths, in Austria, in complex relationships of war and love, and in the monstrous events of our times.
