The Music of Hans Zimmer & John Williams

The two are undoubtedly among the most famous composers of our time, and they have significantly shaped the film music of the 20th and 21st centuries with their work: the unforgettable melodies from "Star Wars," "Harry Potter," "Gladiator," "Pirates of the Caribbean," and "Indiana Jones" inevitably transport us to other universes. It is no surprise that John Williams has been nominated for an Oscar 54 (!) times – a world record that has never been achieved before! He has already taken home the trophy five times. Hans Zimmer, on the other hand, received his first Oscar for the music for "The Lion King" and his most recent for his music for "Dune." The Czech Symphony Orchestra, which specializes in film music and has recorded countless Hollywood scores, will perform this evening under the musical direction of Franz Bader.
