Impact Lech 2026: In the Age of Data
The symposium "Impact Lech," conceived in 2022 by Markus Hengstschläger in collaboration with Lech Zürs Tourism, has gained significant recognition and established itself as an intellectual discussion format. The central theme of this congress revolves around the question, "What impact do the latest findings and developments have on our daily lives, our work, and our society?" Moderated by some of the most renowned journalists in the country, participants are offered a unique experience through lectures, discussions, and informal talks in the beautiful setting of Lech, designed to empower and motivate people to engage.
The fifth edition of the "Impact Lech" symposium will take place from June 25 to 28, 2026, under the title "In the Age of Data."
In line with the motto "Creating facts, forming opinions," this topic will be explored from various perspectives. We live in an era where the scale and diversity of data generated by humans and machines are growing exponentially. The resulting measurement—such as health or training data—and networking—like energy supply in smart city concepts—exceed the biological capabilities of humans to fully comprehend the underlying processes.
