When the evening sets in and the sometimes hectic hustle and bustle of the day comes to an end, it becomes quiet and calm in many places. Is this also true in the Neusiedler See - Seewinkel National Park? Only to a certain extent. Depending on the season, just before and after sunset, you can expect a concert of bird and amphibian calls or the loud cries of a colony of seagulls on the ponds mixed with the quacking and chatter of ducks and geese. While some species spend the night hidden in their sleeping quarters, others emerge from their hiding places to search for food or to mate.
