Ice Bath Introductory Workshop at the Water World Wagrain
Under the guidance of experienced ice swimmer, water rescuer, and author Hansjörg Ransmayr, you will dive into the fascinating and health-promoting world of ice bathing! This workshop will take you through all the important steps: from an exciting introduction with essential DOs & DON’Ts to equipment tips and breathing techniques that will optimally prepare you for practice.
Then it’s time for the real deal: your personal ice bath awaits you outside! Between the immersion sessions, you will have the opportunity to warm up in the indoor pool – perfect for preparing your body for the ultimate cold water challenge. And those who master it will receive the "I DID IT" ice bath duck as a reward at the end!
Pack your swimwear, swim shoes, and towels, and most importantly, bring your enthusiasm to engage in this unforgettable experience!

Cost: € 35.00 per person workshop participation fee
IMPORTANT: The workshop is conducted in German only!
Workshop Schedule:
• Theory (approx. 30 minutes): Presentation on the basics of ice bathing: DOs & DON’Ts, physiological and psychological benefits, potential risks.
Optional venue: Family corner with 100-inch TV.
• Dry training (approx. 20 minutes): Breathing exercises, mantra recommendations, and mindset preparation.
• Ice Bathing: Participants enter their tubs individually up to their necks and stay in as long as they feel comfortable.
• Warm-up Intermezzo: Warm bath in the indoor pool for recovery. Hot ginger tea for internal warming.
• Ice Challenge with Countdown: Target time: 2 minutes and 30 seconds in ice water.
• Warm bath: Another warm bath in the indoor pool for relaxation.
• Presentation of the "I DID IT" ice bath ducks: All successful participants will receive a "I DID IT" ice bath duck as a keepsake.
