Special tour "From the Rudolfshütte to the Keeswinkelscharte"

Behind the snow-covered slopes of the Granatspitze lies a small, hidden paradise for ski tourers. The tour takes place away from the heavily frequented routes on Granatspitze and Stubacher Sonnblick. After skiing down to the Rudolfhütte, there is the option for further descent into the valley. This is an opportunity not to be missed! The exact route will always be determined by the snow, avalanche, and weather conditions!

Details Equipment: Ski touring equipment (skis, poles, skins, crampons, helmet), winter clothing, change of clothes, alpine backpack with warm drinks and snacks, sun and cold protection; Rental equipment: Avalanche equipment (please specify when registering)

Difficulty: Moderate ski tour: approx. 990 m ascent + 4 km ascent / 1600 m descent + 8 km descent / approx. 8 hours total duration of the tour. "Moderate ski tour that requires very good physical condition, with more than 5 hours of total walking time and/or steeper terrain; led by a state-certified mountain guide."

Requirements: Good physical condition and basic fitness as well as ski touring experience are absolutely necessary for this guided tour. Specifically required are: Practice with avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe + good handling of your own ski touring equipment; skiing in open terrain with short steep sections (up to approx. 30°); switchback technique; sufficient fitness for the ascent + descent as described. The national park administration reserves the right to adjust the tour to the participants' abilities and to conduct it only if the weather conditions are suitable, and the participants are properly equipped and physically fit.

Price Information: 80.00 euros per person (including cable car ticket). Registration by March 5, 2026, or April 2, 2026.
