Special tour "Over the Schwarzkarlriedel to Enzingerboden"

A beautiful snowshoe tour through partly untracked slopes with a breathtaking view of the peaks of the Granatspitz group. The starting point is the Rudolfshütte at 2311 m. From there, the route mostly descends through beautifully snow-covered slopes with impressive Swiss stone pine and larch vegetation.

Meeting point: Saturday, January 31, 2026, Friday, February 20, 2026, and Friday, March 20, 2026, at 09:00 at the valley station of the Weißsee Glacier World.

Price: €40.00 per person (including cable car ticket)

Registration: by January 29, 2026, February 18, 2026, and March 18, 2026

Rental equipment: Snowshoes and ski touring poles can be rented on-site. Avalanche equipment (please indicate when registering). If available, please bring your own avalanche safety equipment.

Route information: approx. 8 km / 200 m ascent and 1000 m descent / 5.5 hours of pure walking time / approx. 6.5 hours total duration of the tour.

An endurance snowshoe or winter hike that requires more stamina or leads through steeper terrain.

Requirements:
- Walking with snowshoes in open terrain and deep snow
- Staying outdoors for several hours in winter temperatures
- Sufficient stamina for the ascent and descent as described

- Backpack (20 – 30 liters) (for each person!)
- Warm drink (thermos), snack, energy bars
- 2 pairs of gloves (thin, thick)
- Sunglasses, sunscreen
- Headband, hat
- Winter hiking clothing
- Hardshell jacket
- Warm jacket (e.g., down)
- Warm winter shoes (no moon boots or snowboard boots)
- Snowshoes (rental possible)
- Ski touring poles (rental possible)
- Avalanche shovel (rental possible)
- Avalanche probe (rental possible)
- Avalanche transceiver (3 antennas, fully charged batteries) (rental possible)
- Small first aid kit
- Mobile phone

Travel information: By taxi bus (please register by the day before) or by car to the parking lot at Enzingerboden.
