Too many crises at once, too many supervillains, too many gritty digital effects, too few positive role models: If the present were a movie, it would have a script problem.
One would like to have something like a remote control, one that could switch to another, better film.
But at least: The film currently playing is certainly not boring. And one can always hope for a happy ending. And laughter, as they say, helps.
