Barbara Blaha - Spark Sisters

Barbara Blaha knows what she’s talking about. Growing up as a child of a working-class family with many siblings but little money, she understands the feeling of being overlooked. Her previous stage programs have been an overwhelming success: thousands have already seen her, and every performance was sold out. In her new program "Funkenschwestern" and the book of the same name, she combines personal stories with numbers, facts, and studies, demonstrating why economic issues are always also feminist issues. She makes visible why women are less often allowed to lead, are interrupted more frequently, and are paid less. She points out that in industries with a high percentage of women, wages decrease, and even a full-time job does not protect against the second unpaid shift at home.
