The concert of the Augsburg Philharmonic, conducted by Domonkos Héja, is a musical homage to Leopold Mozart, who was born in Augsburg. His "Neue Lambacher Sinfonie" marks the stylistic transition between Baroque and Classical music. Fabrizio Meloni, principal clarinetist of the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, interprets Alexey Shor's Clarinet Concerto No. 2 with virtuosic depth. Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 in F major, known for its playful wit, rounds off the program.
