Advent magic in Ottenschlag

On Saturday, 29.11. & Sunday, 30.11.2025 the Advent magic takes place in Ottenschlag. This year, for the first time, the municipal school grounds in Michael Jank-Gasse will be transformed into an Advent village for the weekend. Look forward to numerous exhibitors, culinary delights and handicraft specialities. A varied programme offers numerous highlights for young and old.
Saturday begins with a varied children's programme, a "colourful reading" and a brilliant Advent concert by the Kirchschlag-Ottenschlag primary school pupils and pupils from Ottenschlag secondary school. Afterwards, our Perchten group, the "Braunauer Höll'n Buam", invites all children big and small to try on the Perchten costumes. The actual Perchten run then starts at 7.30 pm.
Sunday starts with a Holy Mass, celebrated by Mod. Andreas Hofmann, accompanied by music from the Ottenschlag Union Choir, in the parish church. The wind ensemble of the TKO will entertain visitors from 11.15 am. There will be two programme items at 2 pm: The children will be well entertained in the Kamishibai children's storytelling theatre and the adults can enjoy a fashion show from the Puschacher fashion house. St Nicholas and the Christ Child will also be there. The children receive a Santa bag and can hand in their letters to the Christ Child.
