Hope, melancholy, joy, pain. American singer-songwriter Brookln Dekker brings it all together in his touching indie-folk. The spark for his current album was a conversation with his daughter.

Indie/Pop "What happens to us when we die?" With this question, Dekker's daughter sparked the creative process for Future Ghosts. "In that moment, we wrote the title track of the album together," says the singer. The result is an intimate work about love, loss, and hope. The delicately plucked acoustic guitar sparkles beneath Dekker's distinctive voice. Octave-doubled harmonies give the vocals an almost angelic aura. In "Popped the Top," the singer effortlessly soars to impressive falsetto heights, before fresh chord progressions introduce tension into the mix. "Hero Myth" then transforms into a euphoric self-reflection with razor-sharp shakers, a thumping bass drum, and a slightly dissonant, wavering electric guitar. On stage, Dekker is an experience: with an oversized headpiece and a charismatic voice, he envelops every concert hall in atmospheric soundscapes.

Brookln Dekker grew up in a musical family. Under the band name Rue Royale, he released four albums with his wife, Ruth Dekker, before embarking on a solo musical journey in 2020.
