The Stutterers

Die Strottern, the Viennese acoustic duo consisting of Klemens Lendl (vocals, violin) and David Müller (vocals, guitar), are the figureheads of the New Viennese Song. For a quarter of a century, they have been dusting off this local music tradition and bringing it into the 21st century with intelligent wit and deep emotion. Their unmistakable style combines the melancholic soul of the Viennese song with contemporary influences from jazz and blues. With a heartfelt yet unpretentious performance, Die Strottern present both traditional pieces and their own, sharply humorous songs in Viennese dialect.
