By train: Via Attnang-Puchheim station to Gmunden station, with the Traunsee Tram (Line 161) from Stern & Hafferl to the Gmunden Rathausplatz stop or Franz-Josef-Platz stop, also coming from Vorchdorf Eggenberg. The two stops are about a 3-minute walk from the Gmunden City Theater. Numerous connections from Attnang-Puchheim station to the main traffic trains on the Westbahn line (Line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn towards Bad Ischl, Hallstatt, and Bad Aussee.

By bus: OÖVV bus lines 507, 505, or 533 as well as city bus lines from Gmunden, stop Gmunden Rathausplatz.

By car:
Westautobahn A1: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A1 - Exit A1 Laakirchen West - via Laakirchen to Gmunden.
